The day was young when I pulled in to Jim’s drive way. Carla and Blair were both at work so the day was ours to make the best of. With no plans and a full tank of gas we headed off to my house for some necessities. After picking up my shotgun, shells and some damn fine vegtable soup we were off to blow shit up.

Heading down towards lock 8 on we found what we were looking for. Woodsmen ,as they call them selfs, were working in the front lawn. Deciding how awesome it would be to stop and take pictures, we head down to the river to shoot my gun and whatever else that moved.

Leaving lock 8 Jim challenged me to drive up a what would be the equivlant of a vertical mountain. I accepted the challenge as long as he documented the experience. He did and it was awesome.

Drving past the woodsmen for the second time we slowed down to a crawl. They looked, we stared and our presence was known. We pulled over on the side of the road and walked across a battered foot bridge. We were accepted, acknowledged, and forgotten about with in minutes. We were in.
