Billy Jolly turned 71 years old yesterday. Billy has lived in Flemingsburg all his life and would not have it any other way. Blair and I took a trip to Flemingsburg yesterday to visit her grandma. I saw Billy sitting in his back yard smoking a cigarette and knew I couldn’t pass him up. He started walking towards me as I approached before I got to photograph him in his junk filled back yard.

Rick Pitino and his Louisville Cardinals returned to Rupp Area today to take on Billy Gillispie and the University of Kentucky Wildcats. Even though the UK cheerleaders performed at half time, the wildcats still managed to lose 89-75.

There is just something about shooting things that gets me excited. Then to add blood, death and cameras to the list there is little that would keep me from getting out of bed at 6:30 in the morning. But im still not sure which one is the pheasant and which one is the quail.

With a 35-28 win before a Music City Bowl record crowd of 68,661 the UK Wildcats defeated the USF Seminoles.

I told Josh that there was a new tattoo place by my apartment that we should check out. Through dinner everyone debated about what tattoos we would get and where. “I’d get one,” Josh said casually, so after a fun dinner and a quick go around at the Explorium, we headed off to Bleed Blue on Upper Street.

“We’re just looking,” we told them when we walked in the door. But after looking through books of designs and dismissing Joel’s bet to tattoo hamster tracks in hidden areas, Josh ended up more than just looking.

I’m starting to think that UK’s players just don’t like Billy G. I know the referee does not like me. He stood in front of me the entire game and even told me he didn’t like me. So I had to make my pictures walking to and from the game and not during. 

Fans leave with there heads down.

I found my self outside a lot this holiday season. ALL of my family and every house I visited all some sort of animal that I was allergic to. Since I had my camera with and I was outside I put two and two together and took some nature pictures. I love the outdoors and before I knew you could take pictures of people that’s how I spent my days, taking pictures of landscapes and nature.

My mom’s hand fell after a tragic fist fight with a grizzly bear but we glueded it back on and she’s back on the fast-track to recovery. 

Be sure to look for the new Bears page. Several people have requested seeing the bears of Alaska, so I will post them. 

Standing on the sidewalk above Rockefeller Center watching skaters fall over and over again is a great experience. I highly suggest every one that visits the great city of New York partake is this activity. Apparently waving around a 70-200 and cheering for people as they were falling and wincing in pain causes a scene. Blair was no where in sight.

I leave today to go to my dads in Indiana after getting off the plane Thursday. New York was amazing. I have so much to say about it but no time. I can say that people did not like to have their picture taken at all. I got all kinds of looks and comments. So it was a challenge to shoot. Part 2 and 3 will follow as soon as I get back.
